Other Fibre Groups

It seems that once interested in fibre arts, we don’t limit ourselves to just one activity.  So we’ve created this page to increase awareness of other fibre groups or initiatives.

Canadian Embroiderers’ Guild – London
As noted on their website www.ceglondon.com  CEG, London is a teaching guild whose purpose is to preserve and foster practices of traditional stitchery and contemporary fabric embellishment.  They provide both encouragement and support for stitchers at all levels of experience and skill levels.  They have a variety of programs including:
a Day Group which meets on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of the month, from September to April.
an Evening Group which meets every 2nd & 4th Tuesday.
and several workshops throughout the year.

The London Lacers usually meet the last Sunday of the month in London, Ontario.   This group encompasses a variety of lace-making techniques, including shuttle- and needle- tatting.   If you are interested in attending a meeting or wish to be included in their email list for meeting updates & other lacey news – please contact pamglew@rogers.com for details.  It is important to contact Pam well ahead of meetings, particularly during summer months, as the meeting date sometimes changes due to lace demonstration commitments at Fanshawe Pioneer Village.
